Inventory Controller (Telecommunications)
Location: Woodmead
Salary: R20 000 p.m.

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is looking for an Inventory Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Work between Head office, Stores and occasionally Warehouses.
• Raising purchase orders and processing GRVs, Stock Costing, and Maintain mark-up.
• Flow of inventory from warehouse to stores, store to store (IBT) and updating selling prices on the systems.
• Compare supplier invoices with Purchase Orders raised to items received to ensure that shipments are correct.
• Control the inventory rotation to and from stores.
• Assist with Pastel and Point of Sale Issues in store where required.
• Assisting managers with merchandising when necessary.
• Maintaining stock categorization on system to ensure efficient reporting.
• Monitoring stock ageing, developing sales and clearance promos with management.
• Managing and accessing reorder levels.
• Liaising with stores – Analyzing sales figures and history, justifying new or replenishment orders.
• Managing optimum levels of stock always.
• Liaising and building relationships with suppliers.
• Stock takes and spot checks Weekly and Monthly
• Balancing stock with system.
• Detailed Investigation of variances if any and report to management.
• Resolving any stock issues immediately to avoid manual sales.
• Double Check stock leaving warehouse to stores where possible.
• Receive stock in stores.
• Preparing landed cost of overseas stock and have them signed off by CFO.
• Balancing bond stock with asset register – BAC. Stock to system.
• Dealing with BAC, handling enquiries.
• Attend to all creditors queries regarding stock.
• Deal and maintaining relationship with Suppliers after General Manager’s negotiations.
• Manage and recon consignment stock weekly.
• Manage Clearance Stock with external companies.
• Monitoring of Store Cash ups with Finance Department to ensure accurate cash ups are done.
• Investigate any variances on daily cash ups and report to management
• Monthly creditor’s reconciliation for suppliers
• Assisting accounts when required
• Assist with Preparations for Events and attend events when required.
• Managing outsourced warehouse regarding stock movements.

Requirements

• Clean ITC
• Clean criminal check
• Own vehicle in good running order and comprehensively insured for business use.
• Experience in dealing with customers and importing freight through a third party
• 2+ years’ experience with stock control procedures in Retail environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Advance Excel skills
• Ability to efficiently lead, delegate and motivate subordinates with regards to stock and cash ups
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks timeously
• The ability to work with other colleagues and suppliers
• Previous general accounting experience will be an advantage
• Tertiary education or studying towards a tertiary education
