INVENTORY COST ACCOUNTANT
• The day to day capturing and maintenance of inventory data in Pastel Evolution and undertakes to do so in an effective, responsible and accurate manner.
• Ensuring that all internal inventory controls are maintained and implemented to ensure that the quantity and costing of the inventory is accurate, and that inventory is not misstated.
• Maintenance of the inventory masterfile.
• Responsible for warehouse maintenance on pastel Evolution.
• Ensure that the inventory costing relating to imported products and local products are accurate and the inventory is priced accordingly.
• Ensuring that the bills of material are accurate and the cost of inventory is priced correctly.
• Responsible for imputing of the weekly warehouse stock take, drawing the inventory reports and analysing the variances. Reconciling the stock take on hand to the stock per the general ledger account.
• Responsible for controlling the pricing matrix on pastel and ensuring that the correct inventory discount level is used per customer.
• Product costing and costing analysis.
• Responsible for managing the minimum stock levels and ensuring that stock is ordered on time at the right price.
• Control stock wastage/theft. Ensure that stock shortages are investigated and reported on.
• Be able to negotiate discounts with suppliers
• Ensure that stock takes are performed at all the stores. Capture the data and calculate the gross profit achieved at all stores.
• Sound knowledge of pastel evolution and excel
