Compuscan, based in Stellenbosch, has a position available for an Investigative Reporter
To comprehensively conduct research to establish the most up to date information on the requested company by means of a telephonic interview, utilising external sources of information, obtaining trade references and adhering to the special instructions
Key Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 100% Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Driver’s Licence
• 3 - 5 relevant years
• Experience in the Credit/Financial industry (Credit Bureau industry advantageous)
• Experience with doing Trade References

Key Performance Areas:
• To monitor and prioritise workflow in order to meet deadlines.
• To perform all administrative duties assigned in line with the job function these will include recording daily stats.
• To undertake business information research in order to obtain the highest quality of information relating to the requested service level, ensuring the least number of queries.
• Liaising with Clients with any queries or questions they may have and keeping the Clients up to date with progress of the Reports.
• Applying for bank codes according to enquiry amounts
• Compiling reports on local and international companies by confirming statutory information obtained from CIPC and that provided on credit applications
• Information would be confirmed either telephonically or requested to be forwarded via email and returned by subject
• Obtaining the latest audited Financial Statements for assessment purposes
• Compiling a current and accurate payment pattern and trend by calling trade references.
• Prioritizing and completing urgent reports
• Performing all quality control on completed reports.
• Dispatching reports to relevant Clients
• Updating Researched Reports on the database.
• Batch Vendor data clean ups.
• Sourcing and compiling relevant data to enhance the database.
