Investment Administrator

Location: Diep River, Cape Town
Salary: R15k per month negotiable

About the Role:
The Investment Administrator is responsible for the smooth and accurate functioning of the Investments/Funds. They are also the first port of call for all client queries and attend to all the record keeping and compliance deliveries for the business.

Requirements:
Matric
2+ years Investment Administration experience
Passion for client service
Attention to detail
Strong numerical ability

Duties:
Client Relationships
Support the Client Liaison Officer in his goal of building strong relationships with all clients.
Ensure new clients receive an optimal level of client care during the onboarding process.
Follow up on pending cases and keep each client informed of status regularly.
Ensure all instructions received (withdrawals; client details changes; transfers etc.) are completed within agreed time frames and the CLO (or client) is notified.
Administration/ Systems/ Processes
Strive to be the first port of call for all administration issues, both for clients and suppliers.
Escalate problems/ issues timeously to the Client Liaison Officer
Set goals/ targets for projects and additional tasks or duties.
Prepare AUM sheets each week for use at the Monday morning team meetings.
Ensure retirement annuity fee renewals are made within 1 month of notification.
Ensure the team understands platform turnaround times
Submit necessary documentation in respect of new clients and transfers to the platform.
Monitor progress of new client applications and transfers.
Set up and maintain record of pending cases.
Develop and maintain relationships with key platform employees
Client Compliance
Ensure that all platform documentation is correctly signed by each new client
Ensure that all documentation for submission to various platforms is complete
Ensure that all FICA documents are obtained from the client
Ensure that all new clients, their mandates and FICA documents are uploaded to the system.
Business Direction
Develop an understanding of the services offered by the company
Support the senior management team in their execution of the strategic plan.
Marketing
Ensure a strong understanding of the marketing strategy as developed by the senior management team.
Also ensure an understanding of the administration manager’s contribution to the marketing strategy and work towards the goals and targets identified.
