Sandton is currently in search of a Investment Broker to join there firm.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To maximize the effectiveness of the Senior Brokers by producing high
quality leads and working as a team towards agreed set targets and
profitability goals. To provide a high level of sales support by ensuring all
queries are responded to in an efficient, professional and timely manner.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for
the sales force with the emphasis on high quality leads.

2. Develop creative pitches and propositions aimed at specific
industry sectors.

3. Proactively follow up leads generated from canvassing by the
Senior Brokers.

4. Convert 1 of every 10 leads provided into a sale.

5. Make 150 dials daily and 3 hours talk-time.

6. Use of initiative to identify and follow up opportunities with
potential clients who are not already on the database

7. Manage the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure
targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new
business

8. Work closely with the marketing team to achieve sales
objectives

9. Attend meetings with the Senior Brokers to update information
and discuss any issues

10. Contribute to the team performance by sharing and
implementing Best Practice Ideas.

PROSPECTS

Successful Brokers can expect to be promoted to Senior Brokers within a
6-12 month timescale providing they have continually met or
exceeded set targets.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Computer literate/keyboard skills
• At least 5-10 years working within a sales environment preferably in a
proactive telemarketing role within the Investment (or related)
industry
• Excellent telephone skills
• High degree of accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize issues

Intellectual Demands

• Must have minimum Matric- Maths and English
• Must be able to deal with technical product information
• Ability to adapt procedures to a new and more effective way of working
(in relation primarily to database management)
