A leading IT Company based in Pretoria is currently looking for a passionate and talented Objective-C/Swift developer to join our iOS team.

You will be directly involved in developing the iOS version of their leading mobile application. Working on their app is both challenging and rewarding as it involves concepts such as server communication, webviews, UI/UX design, encryption, databases, Google APIs, media player technologies etc. You will join forces with developers working on other mobile platforms, as well as server programmers and designers, to make exciting new features happen.

Duties:
• Design, architect, and develop the next generation of features for their app, used across thousands of tablets every day.
• Maintain the existing codebase and fix bugs where needed.
• Write correct, concise and robust code.
• Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS techniques and guidelines.
• Coordinate and participate in the implementation, testing and support of our app using Objective C and Swift.
• Help design innovative new features, and solve difficult problems using original approaches.

Requirements:
• Computer Science degree, or equivalent knowledge.
• At least 1 year of iOS development experience using Objective C.
• Operate in a fast-moving, execution-oriented environment.
• Ability to self-motivate, to plan and meet deadlines without constant oversight, and the desire to write the most elegant code for the job
• The ability to take ownership of a task and drive it to completion by yourself is critical; we expect a very high degree of personal responsibility.
• Good communication and collaboration skills and a strong teamwork ethic.
• Understanding of iOS fundamentals, its software design principles, and a strong desire to learn new things.
• Swift knowledge and JavaScript experience is a strong plus.
