We are recruiting for an IR Officer based in Durban and JHB. The candidate will need to have the following qualifications and experience;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

·Chairing of all internal Disciplinary Enquiries in areas allocated.

· Ensure that a healthy and constant communication channel is maintained between the IR Manager and yourself, pertaining to IR-related issues and more importantly, CCMA issues.

· Ensure that Client Services Managers are updated on any new IR procedures, amendments to existing IR procedure, etc.

· Ensure that Discipline is practiced consistently by actively updating with Client Service Managers pertaining to warnings, counselling, etc.

· Proper management of time during such Enquiries.

· Proper record keeping of outcome of Enquiries in the IR-Disciplinary Register.

· Proper recording / filing of all paper-work produced at Enquiries.

· Representing the Company at CCMA level.

· Submission of monthly Statistics to the IR Manager.

·Supportive advice to Client Services Managers, etc. pertaining to IR-related issues.

· Timeous arrangement of witnesses for CCMA.

·Weekly audit of the Operations Disciplinary Register and reporting of any discrepancies pertaining to such.


TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

·Disciplinary Procedure

·Familiar with the various Labour Acts

·Report and proposal writing skills

·Statistical Capturing and reporting

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· 2 years HR/IR experience

· Minimum Diploma in HR Management

· Solid Computer Skills

· Must be familiar with all Labour Relations terminologies

·At least 2 years in the Security/Manufacturing Industry will be advantageous.

Salary (15 000 – 25 000)
