Requirements:

LLB Degree or equal or relevant law qualification.
Working knowledge of Labour legislation and industry level agreements within a bargaining council
3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in industrial environment.
Experience within the manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience in statutory reporting requirements
Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel, Word
Duties:

Ensure statutory compliance
Ensuring that IR practices are consistently applied and communicated across the business.
Liaise with and advise the business regarding legal issues to ensure compliance with labour legislation, thereby avoiding the escalation of disputes/industrial action.
Ensure that the minutes of meetings, data for reporting and IR documentation is kept up to date and filed appropriately.
Undertake relevant activities to manage and limit industrial action risk within the business.
Prepare case documentation accurately.
Present a monthly update/progress report to the HR Director.
Represent the company at CCMA or Bargaining Council for Conciliation and Arbitration.
Undertake IR Auditing throughout the organisation across the business i.e. to ensure that disciplinary, grievance and poor performance issues are managed in compliance with legislation.
