SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Company is organized through regional IT shared services managing the relation with countries through area coordinator for both Support and Demand management. The area Demand coordinators will be supported by the MEA ITSC regional Demand Manager according to his/her area..

The Area Demand Coordinator is responsible to support the region in the global IT transformation launched with the following key areas of responsibilities in his/her area::
• Support the Demand Manager in implementing the MEA ITSC governance & PMO .
• Support the project HUB and central program team in introducing the MEA BM model according to the agreed Roadmap and implementation wave
• Coordinate and support I&O for implementing I&O initiative .
• Coordinate with the End User regional team for any issue that would require local country support or reverse
• Support the Internal Country and IT security regional team to facilitate IT internal audit or internal control Surveys
• Manage the relation with countries to help them better understanding the model and bringing back to the regional team (Application & Program) new requirements.
• This position is based in one of the countries in the area and will require travel to the different countries.

RESPONSIBILITIES
MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Governance and PMO
Manage & coordinate the relation with country stakeholders and local IT to define action plans and implement them. The candidate will be supported by the Demand manager of his/her area.

Before implementation of MEA BM
Organize the relation with country stakeholders
Organize and manage the Country IT Steering Committee with proper agenda, reporting and KPIs according to the new governance. Through this governance, she/he gets validation of priorities and projects by the business stakeholders.
Support the business in minimizing the change to what is essential on legacy ERPs. Help them clarifying the needs and propose solutions/enhancements to essential or legal changes.

Once MEA BM is implemented
Continue managing the local IT Governance and ensure the final transition to the new organization with only local support at the country level is well understood and accepted.
Support the country IT end user coordinator in optimizing his/her organization once the model is in place
Help country improving the use of the MEA BM model through better understanding of the model and benchmarking with other countries already live. In case of new requirements, help the country properly formalizing them and pushing them to the MEA BM turntable for validation or rejection. Once decision is taken, support the country in implementing this decision.

Manage alignment with Hub and Corporate IT stakes
Support the Country support IT organization in getting clear IT goals, objectives, and operating procedures in line with the regional ITSC model and governance
Work closely with the regional ITSC team to plan and implement new standards or application evolutions through versioning
Coordinate and support with I&O for implementing I&O initiative in countries under the area. This would require supporting the country in understanding the benefits and accepting the cost.
Manage the IT budget and spending
Implement the new MEA ITSC cost model and get it understood and used by the local country finance organization
Develop, track and control the IT annual operating and capital budgets,
Help the country developing business case and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
The Area Demand Coordinator has the support of the regional Demand managers to address any governance issues that would be brought by the country he/she would not be able to address by her own
Preparation of the MEA BM implementation

Support project HUB and central program team in :
Introducing the MEA BM model according to the agreed roadmap and implementation wave
Ensuring all preparatory work with system implementation, data cleansing, infrastructure alignment and upgrade, … will be done on time to meet the MEA BM go live.
In Coordination with HR department Identifying the key people and the proper business people to take roles in country team .
Getting each country properly understanding and accepting the cost impact of such project.
Coordinating with local IT organization for activities dropping under country local IT.

Customer transformation
Capture the customer transformation initiative at country level, assess them with the regional application team
Support the region in making visible the successful applications we have implemented somewhere that could bring value in a country of the area
Support the MEA ITSC Demand organization in getting a clear documentation of all customer initiative across the region.
Internal control and IT security
Support the area Internal control and IT security team to run the periodic assessment
Help the area IC coordinator to run regular risk assessments. Also help him/her business building the final recommendation for each country of the area.
Support the country in understanding the result of the assessment and the eventual cost for not complying with internal Control or IT security rules.

People management
This role does not imply any direct report as the candidate will operate transversally in the area in a matrix
organization between countries, Regional MEA ITSC and Corporate IT.

JOB DIMENSIONS
Budget
Manage the collection of budget information for the countries in the area. Ensure no additional IT cost (Opex or Capex) is spent in the country without formal approval from the regional.
Key figures (e.g. IT User, IT Sites, Cluster, Countries, and Businesses):
About 1 to 6 countries per area.

Internal: MEA ITSC demand, regional teams (IC, Application, Support & program), LH corporate I&O
External: any Vendors providing a local Customer Focus solution

Scope:
The area Demand coordination will have to ensure the IT coordination to Regional Business Shared Services (BCS) that will be set up in the country. Also over the time, the Area that is today limited to South Africa could be extended to support other neighborhood Sub Saharian MEA countries.

Education / Qualifications
PROFILE REQUIRED
Level of education/qualifications normally required:
Graduate degree in Business or Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus
Certifications: ITIL; CoBIT, CMMI

Experience
Specific work Experience:
Over 10 years of experience managing and/or directing an IT operation in a local affiliate of an international group.
Strong coordination Skills
Management experience in an international organization with distributed responsibilities and demonstrated ability to lead and manage on a support role
Experience in business basics (business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations).
Basic technical background in network management, data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications.
Proven experience in project management for implementation of local or corporate/regional projects or programs
