IT AUDITOR

A vacancy exists in the Centurion office of a national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors for an experienced IT Auditor to commence duties as soon as possible.

Main Responsibilities
• Completing IT Audit activities;
• Developing and recording risk-based plan for each engagement, including the scope, objectives, and timing;
• Developing and updating risk-based audit programmes for the allocated audit universe;
• Identifying and evaluating significant risk exposures relating to the control processes and making appropriate recommendations for improvement;
• Executing the risk based IT audits (e.g. IT projects, application systems, general IT controls,
• CAATS, IT Security, databases, technology platforms);
• Performing IT audit action item follow-up testing;
• Providing project risk assurance services, as well as completing developmental audits with regular follow ups and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• 4+ years’ previous experience gained in IT Auditing (financial services specifically) - (Application controls, general computer controls, technology layer reviews, IT process reviews);
• Completed degree/diploma in Business and/or Technology;
• The following industry certification: CIA or CISA or working towards one;
• Extensive experience performing audit reviews including process analysis and risk control assessments with minimal or no supervision;
• Relevant courses in IT Governance, Information Security, Project Risk Management, IT Audit;
• Strong report writing skills / background;
• Strong analytical, investigative and probing track record;
• Knowledge of IT Audit Frameworks e.g. COBIT, ITIL;
• Continuous auditing, continuous monitoring and data analytics experience would be a distinct advantage;
• Operational Auditing experience.
