We are looking for an IT Compliance Officer / Team Leader for a Company in Plettenberg Bay.

Purpose of the position:
As a Compliance Officer/Team leader, you will be required to ensure that the operations are conducted in accordance with relevant ICT Policies and Procedures. The adherence to these standards will minimize or eliminate the risk of any audit findings and non-adherence to agreed service levels

Minimum Requirements:
  • MSCE with a minimum of 3 years working experience.
  • Must have minimum 3 years’ experience working in similar or larger size ICT operation.
  • Must have 3 years’ experience as a team leader.
  • Experience with Compliance specifically relating to ICT.
  • Experience in implementing and managing compliance.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL Working knowledge and understanding of COBIT controls.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate integrity, empathy and emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrate initiative and commitment for results and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Cultural awareness Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively.
  • Solid time management skills Solid work ethic with attention to detail

Duties:
Compliance Officer Role:
Responsible for ensuring compliance and governance with both internal and external polices, testing and challenging the internal polices and strategies and reporting weekly, monthly and quarterly on the compliance. Developing and testing processes to ensure compliance in accordance with all aspects of the ICT polices. Managing all aspects of internal operational administration to include call logging, call assignment, operational documentation SLA and day to day SLA management, and critically the testing and documentation of the DR and Business Continuity testing in conjunction with the other operational staff. Understand the Client’s ICT Policies and procedures. Ensure that IT staff understand their role in compliance Monitor, and as necessary, coordinate IT compliance activities to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness and identify trends. Ensure that IT compliance Issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; recommend, get approval for and drive corrective action plans. Participate in various audits and examinations Professionally engage with the Client’s Management team.

Team leader Role:
This member of the team will be expected to lead the other team members in all aspects of their daily duties ensuring that there is consistent communication between members, it would be expected that the team leader would be abreast of all activities project and support alike and report weekly to the ICT Manager on ICT Activities. This member will be instrumental in identifying when to prioritize operations and escalating as required. Effectively lead a team of 4 to 6 on-site engineers in all aspect of their daily duties. Take full responsibility for on-site team and ensure the on-site team delivers in accordance with service levels defined for the on-site team Will identify when to prioritize operations and escalate if necessary. Timeously and in full, execute any instructions / activities agreed with the Service Delivery Manager responsible for the client. Provide monthly statistics (on time, in full and accurate) to the Service Delivery Manager Understand the meaning of SLA’s and importance of servicing the customer within SLA’s Ensure Call SLA adherence within team Incident Management Understand and operate within contractual boundaries
