JSE Limited Company, having investments and operations in the South African entertainment and leisure industry establishment in 1997; a formidable player in this industry.
Through participation and leadership, our client has consistently sought to ensure that its investments are optimally leveraged for the benefit of all stakeholders and the broader community. As a BBBE enterprise with a substantial shareholder base comprising a broad spectrum of the population of the Western Cape, one of their primary objectives was to provide a vehicle whereby Historically Disadvantaged Persons were able to participate in the country's lucrative entertainment industry. The black empowered shareholder base is in excess of 8 600 direct members and up to a further 15 000 indirect members. After listing, thousands of the initial shareholders progressed to a new corporate listed environment, with an opportunity to participate in the continued growth and development of their business.
Our client is also looking at opportunities outside the entertainment industry such as property and retail, with a view to expanding its investment and operations portfolio, not only geographically (as there is a current Western Cape focus) but also in terms of industry emphasis.
Duties Include:
• Manage the service level agreements between the business and its IT service providers
• Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, preliminary cost/benefit analysis to align IT solutions with business delivery initiatives
• Understand and implement long term business objectives, processes and strategies, as it pertains to IT services
• Manage all projects defining milestones and deliverables to bring projects from initiations through to delivery (Customer Managed IT Projects)
• Work with stakeholders and manage project resources to drive execution according to plan
• Attend and participate in governance forums
• Act as business owner representative on change advisory board.
• Reviews all submitted RFC’s as appropriate and provide details of their likely impact, the implementation resources, and the ongoing cost of all changes
• Perform IT Risk review contributing to the overall Risk Review
• Administration and reporting on Customer satisfaction, SLA compliance and Incident and Problem management statistics
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• A+, Network + or other industry certifications a preferred.
• Formal Training and experience in a recognized Service Delivery model (i.e. ITIL)
• Knowledge of COBIT Governance framework
• ITIL Certification
• Extensive background in troubleshooting hardware and application issues on Windows platforms is required.
• Knowledge of intermediate PC skills, computer technologies, network environments and IT industry in general are required.
• Good typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Project Management skills.
• Change Management skills are essential.
• Strong technical knowledge across application support, MS Windows Service Active Directory, desktop support and MPLS Networking.
