Our Client a Leading South African Investment Company is looking for an Exceptional IT Developer to join their Cape Town branch.

The main tasks a successful applicant would be required to perform in this role would be:

• Understand requirements for new system modules; write a technical specification and develop the module to Company standards and deadlines.

• Write stored procedures to manipulate the data supplied by the source system and prepare it for reporting.

• Understand the existing systems, how they work and what they are achieving for the business.

• Analyse problems reported by users and track down their cause through debugging techniques and discussion with other team members.
* Fixing the problems through database changes or .NET code fixes.

The Ideal Candidate will need

• Knowledge of financial concepts and terms, particularly Asset Management knowledge,
• The ability to understand and write SQL for Microsoft SQL server, including stored procedures.

• The ability to design, code and debug in Microsoft .NET, C#, or C++.

• The ability to understand systems, track down and fix problems.

• The ability to analyse and report on data.

• The ability to interact with business users to understand their requirements.
