IT Engineer
Location: Contermanskloof, Durbanville
Salary: R15k per month
 
Purpose of the Role:
The IT Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all IT Infrastructure issues on servers and networks, providing feedback within the agreed upon times to both internal and external stakeholders.
 
Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 yrs relevant experience in a similar role
• Technical qualification, A+, N+, MCSE 
• MCTS, LINUX + / LPIC. 
• CCNA Security + would be advantageous.
• Ubuntu, Linux, Windows, Debian, OTRS 
• Valid driver's license and Own Reliable Transport (NON NEGOTIABLE)

Duties:

• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues (Windows/Linux)
• Provide support on IT queries and resolving issues surrounding any servers
• Maintenance: Ensure systems are backed up and that all clones are in working order 
• Document all tasks and duties 
• Remote management and support on servers and the network infrastructures
• Internal and external product support
• Installation of new infrastructure for internal and external clients
• Provide 2nd line support and training on frequently asked questions
• Assist IT Manager with ticket meetings
• Follow up on critical tasks
• Conduct inspections on the office Visits, monitoring the IT functionality and cleanliness of offices and server rooms
