A leading telecommunications service provider based in Centurion has an exciting job opportunity for a IT Helpdesk Operator to join their operations department. The IT Helpdesk Operator will be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers and contractors and administrative duties within the call centre

Your key job responsibilities as the IT Helpdesk Operator in Centurion will include:

- Providing technical assistance to contractors and customers
- Logging customer complaints, requests and comments as well as other relevant information
- Handling customer complaints and queries
- Dispatching jobs to relevant contracting parties
- Correcting and completing updating of installations on Proman
- Correcting and completing updating of swappings Proman
- Completion of swappings and installations sheet
- Handling requests and customer complaints from other departments (logging of recoveries, supply of cables, investigations, etc)
- Regular device health-checks and preventative maintenance
- Preparing and submitting weekly standby reports to the Call Centre Manager
- Will be required to work overtime on Saturdays/Sundays/ Public Holidays as well as monthly standby - rotationally.
- The relevant training on in – house systems will be provided.

Requirements for the IT Helpdesk Operator job in Centurion:

- Matric
- A + and N+ (Non-negotiable)
- IT background in the following: Routers / ADSL / Mikrotik /FIbre/Diginet/ VoiP
- Computer literacy required: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, MS Power Point
- Previous experience in call centres preferred
- CCNA would be beneficial but not compulsory
