Job Description:
The incumbent’s main responsibilities are to plan and direct operations in order to improve the productivity and efficiency of the company and franchises by monitoring and assisting with the implementation of information technology systems and procedures.
Job skills, experience and qualification requirements:
Senior Certificate or NQF4 equivalent.
IT degree or related
Minimum 2 – 5 years’ previous working experience as an IT Manager
ITIL v3 (IT Service Qualification)
Project management experience and qualification advantageous
Technical skills required:
HTML/CSS; FTP; Google Analytics; Sage300 (Accpac)
Additional requirements:
Valid driver’s license and own transport Essential
Must pass credit and criminal checks
SA Citizenship or valid work permit ESSENTIAL
Key performance areas:
Budgeting and financial planning for the Brands and Franchisor/ Franchisee in terms of information technology
Governance:
Adhere to the Brands’ policies and procedures.
Adhere to the Brands’ business ethics and values.
Adhere to set deadlines of multiple project tasks.
Oversee the adherence of the Brands’ values.
Oversee the maintenance of confidential information.
Oversee the SLA terms and conditions.
Operational
Plan, organise, direct control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data process and computer systems operations and development
Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
Provide orientation and training to new potential users of existing technology
Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Maintain log and/or list of required repairs or maintenance
Research current and potential resources and services
Provide network access to all staff and franchisees and Install work stations, Connect and set up hardware and Load all required software, Provide network accounts and passwords as required
Monitor security of all technology and Install and maintain fool proof and passwords
Input and maintain IP addresses
Advise staff/ franchisees of security breach and/or change in password or security status
Ensure installation of lock out programs
Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
Attend to and resolve all franchisee queries and internal/ external tickets logged
Assist with network related issues and database integrations
