IT Operational and Infrastructure Manager

Location: Bryanston, JHB
Salary: R900kpa negotiable

Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will be expected to engage with clients on a senior strategic level as well as being responsible for day to day IT operations. They will be expected to influence and drive the technical aspects of the customers IT strategy, technology architecture and deliver “bang for buck” in terms of new projects and initiatives.

Requirements:
Relevant Degree or Diploma
Technical Qualifications: MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP
8-10 years Operational Management experience in an IT environment
Strong Leadership capabilities and Senior management experience
Excellent analytical and technical skills
Solution design skills across multiple platforms
A solid understanding of working with customers to provide IT solutions
Hardware System Architecture and Design, hardware configuration, operating systems & strong firewalling (Sonicwall and linux) and security knowledge with hands on experience.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and security protocols and environments
Solid experience of Windows Active Directory environments and group polices
Strong hands on experience with Cloud hosted servers eg. Gsuite, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure
Good understanding and experience of Linux and cPanel environments.
Solid experience and understanding of Web hosting.
Good understanding and experience with Redundant systems eg. Backups, UPS, Generators, High availability Firewalls, WAN failover.
Good knowledge and hands on experience of mobile operating systems like IOS and Android
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Affinity for structured business process

Duties:
Ensuring IT Operations run effectively at all sites
Maintaining high service delivery standards through measurement and effective management
Solution design, costing and presentation to executive level staff.
IT team management
Liaison with senior managers on technical service delivery and projects
Management of infrastructure and hosted environments
Adherence to SLA measurements for system uptime and stability
Active role in enterprise wide technology deployments and business solutions
Disaster Recovery and information security solutions across all sites.
Cloud migration solutions and rollout
Enterprise level LAN and WAN design, rollout and support
Licensing and optimisation
Management of end to end SLA driven user support and technical teams
Business and solutions development
