A company, based in the Northern/Central suburbs of Pretoria, has a vacancy for an IT Operations Manager

The person will be responsible for a team of 4 IT Technicians and one Administrator
Will also be responsible for the IT for Group Company (shared service) – consisting of 6 companies
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for envisioning and setting goals in the IT department
The job description includes processing, storing, transmitting and protecting information in the organization
The person will be in charge of maintaining the company’s network and data storage resources, and protecting it against all security attacks and compromise and ensuring sufficient disaster recovery procedures are in place to mitigate data loss
To carry out regular assessments of the company’s systems and operations to ascertain level of exposure to risk and then take further steps to eliminate or manage them

Requirements
Management experience and background essential
Solid background in IT like computer networking, telephony, web development and management, programming, data and network security, as well as data entry
Diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT support, administration or operations
Experience in IT and/or telecommunications systems operations and support
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016: 5-10 years
Experience with Microsoft O 365: 3-5 years
Experience with VOIP: 2-4 years
Valid driver’s licence and own car a must
