Job Title: IT Service Desk Agent
Salary: R10 000.00
Location: Midrand

Overview
The Service Desk Agent's (SDA) role is to provide a single, first point of contact for end users, at Head Office and stores, to receive support and maintenance on any IT related queries. The individual will provide timely and useful technical assistance to resolve Tier 1 requests, escalating all unresolved requests/issues to the respective Tier 2 and 3 support teams.
The successful candidate has excellent communication skills and will leverage his/her technical troubleshooting ability, internal service desk software/tools and call tracking system to remotely diagnose and resolve inbound IT requests. The role includes pro-active maintenance and reporting.
Rotational weekend shifts would be required.

Work Experience:
1 Year proven experience as a Service Desk Agent or other IT related customer support role is essential.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
? Good comprehension and knowledge of technical systems, including, but not limited to:
? Basic-to-Intermediate Computer Hardware and Software and Troubleshooting
? Basic-to-Intermediate Networking and Troubleshooting
? Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
? Experience with MS Windows operating systems and MS Office Suites
? Knowledge of network printer installation, setup and troubleshooting
? Knowledge of VOIP
? Excellent communication skills
? Customer orientated and cool-tempered
