IT Supervisor – Hospitality Industry
The IT Supervisor is responsible for providing a high level of IT support services to guests and staff as well as 24 hour coverage for the computer systems, either on site or remotely, depending on business needs.
Job Requirements:
We are looking for an individual that has good communication and leadership skills, a passion for service and strong interpersonal and team player skills.
Applicants are required to have five or more years IT experience with a minimum of two years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, preferably in the hospitality or other guest services industries. Applicants should also have a strong technical background, strong PC skills based on Microsoft operating systems and desktop applications. An IT Diploma or MCSE certification is preferred, however, not essential with previous relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operational requirements of the IT department
- Manage and supervise a small team of junior it technicians
- Manage the implementation of all new IT related projects from start to finish
- Liaise directly with senior management and keep them abreast of all IT related developments and issues
- Oversee the daily IT related support requirements of the properties, ensuring that all issues are resolved satisfactorily and within agreed service level requirements.
- Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all IT assets and equipment as well as ensuring software licensing compliance.
Other Duties:
- Be a hands-on operator ensuring that all support incidents are resolved speedily.
- Train and mentor junior IT staff
- Ensure continuous documentation of all network & equipment changes as well as keeping network diagrams up-to-date.
Technical Experience / Requirements:
- IT Diploma / MCSE Certified
- Experience with virtualisation technologies including Citrix & VMWare
- Networking and Wi-Fi experience is essential, ideally having worked with Mikrotik, Ruckus and or Unifi products.
- Working knowledge of IP PBX technologies, ideally Asterisk and or FarSouth systems
