Job Purpose Summary
The IT Support Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all IT issues - whether hardware or software-related - and providing feedback within the agreed upon times to the IT Helpdesk Operators, as well as both internal and external stakeholders alike.
Primary duties and responsibilities (but not limited to)
1. Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues (Windows/Linux)
2. Provide support where needed, in terms of queries and resolving issues surrounding any projects and end users
3. Install and configure software, hardware as well as PCs and laptops
4. Maintenance: Ensure systems are backed up and that all clones are in working order
5. Document all tasks and duties
6. Remote management and support
7. Resolution and training on FAQ’s
8. Office and site visits
9. Internal and external Client Support
10. Manage Stakeholder relationships i.e. Suppliers and ISP’s
11. Provide first line support with Frequently Asked Questions and FLI’s

Minimum Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification essential
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a similar role
• Technical qualification, A+, N+, MCSE
• Diploma in IT with LINUX + / LPIC and CCNA
• Excellent understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
