A Wine Estate in the Franschhoek area seeks to employ an IT Technician with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with people on all levels.

Duties:

Provide technical support to the whole organisation on IT

To log and manage all calls, service requests and incidents from end-to-end, including escalation to third parties, follow up and feedback to users

To communicate and liaise effectively with end-users, colleagues and service providers at all levels.

Installation and configuration of Notebooks, Desktops.

Printer & Multifunction maintenance & stock management.

Provision of end-user training.

To manage and evolve processes and provide management information when required.

To ensure user satisfaction and continuity of service is managed, by following specific procedures but also by recommending and developing (where appropriate) improvements to these processes/procedures and ensuring they evolve with the organisational goals.

To compile and manage IT service-related documentation, administration and reporting where applicable

Requirements:

Grade 12 and Tertiary Diploma

MCSE / MCITP Certifications

2-5 years’ experience in IT systems support roles

Microsoft Dynamics Nav ( beneficial )

Fortigate Experience

Wireless Network Experience

Valid Driver’s License

Excellent Troubleshooting skills

Self-starter and self-managed

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and telephone skills

Ability to work within pressurised environment

Microsoft Operating System Support – All Server platforms, Microsoft   exchange, active directory, group policy, DNS, DHCP, general understanding of firewalls, VMWare ESX,VEEAM,SAN,ITIL,

Antivirus, Backups, backup and restore servers, disaster recovery procedures, server patch management

• Windows: Server 2012 /2008 / 2003, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange 2013 / 2010
• Networking / security: TCP /IP, routing / switching - Cisco/HP

 Salary: R15 000 - R20 000
