IT TECHNICIAN - NELSPRUIT:

Minimum education / qualifications required:

•Matric

•CompTIA A+, N+, Microsoft MTA IT Infrastructure, MCSA Windows 10 or similar

•Tertiary education (advantageous)

•Driver’s License and Own Transport

•Min 3-6 years hands on IT experience – corporate IT support

Duties / Responsibilities:

•Ensuring that all support issues dealt with are done within SLA requirements and that the customers are satisfied with the level of support given at all times

•Ensure that operational directives are adhered to at all times

•Reporting status to management.

•Identifying problems and bringing them to the Manager’s attention with sufficient lead time to avert crises.

•Working effectively as part of a team and seeks to support the team’s goals.

•Good Interpersonal skills (liaise with all levels of staff, suppliers and management on a daily basis)

•Broadening own technical, functional, and industry skill base.

•Engaging in formal and informal knowledge transfer.

•Systematic problem-solver with good analytical skills

•Being on standby after hours as per roster shared among the team

•Service calls updated and resolved via the Service Desk

•Install, update and configure computers and peripherals

•Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems relating to hardware and software

•Provide orientation to new users of existing technology and train staff about potential uses of existing technology

•Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources

•Assists in providing network and remote connectivity hardware/software support

•Set up and configure equipment such as Projectors etc.

•Oversee the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training and special projects

•Plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN)

•Purchase hardware/software and system installation, backup, maintenance and problem solving

•Analyzes and troubleshoots the network logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems

•Monitors usage to ensure security of data and access privileges

•Establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, daily server backups

•Creating new mailboxes and managing all mailboxes

•Printer installation, support

•Smartphone/LTE installation and Troubleshooting

•Active Directory (Creating users, Group Membership, Password Management and general account management)

•Computer/Printer Audits

•General trouble shooting

•Installation / configuration / Support of machines and other networked peripheral devices required to be connected to the LAN/WLAN/Internet

•Installation and support of all software relevant to business needs.

•Knowledge of network cabling and telephony system used within the business

•Maintain networked electronic facilities such as telephony, SCADAs and photocopiers so as to optimize the business's availability to these facilities.

•Undertaking small- to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager

SALARY PACKAGE:

R20,000-R30,000 (depending on experience) smartphone and mobile contract, ADSL line costs, loan laptop
