A vacancy has arisen at our client in Paarl for an IT Technician. The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Systems & Risk Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

Experience of Computer Hardware (A+ Certified)

Experience of Local and Wide Area Networking (N+ Certified)

Experience inLinux 

   apache, mysql

Experience of Microsoft Windows and associated Microsoft server products

Experience of VMware

Remote Desktop Services

WSUS, ESET, Fortigate, Mikrotik

Active Directory, Windows Server 2014, SQL Server 2014, Remote Desktop Services

Paltrack, Mimecast, Qlikview, Joomla

3-5 years’ experience working with various server technologies

KEY PERFORMANCE:

Perform daily checks on servers                                  

Network configuration & troubleshooting    

Issue usernames & passwords                                    

Network monitoring (NETXMS)

Set & check permissions                                             

Compile Procedures & How to documents

Back-ups                                                                      

DR Simulations      

General server maintenance

IT Asset management

User support

Act as technical contact with IT suppliers

Salary R22 000  - R28 000
