General Purpose
We are urgently looking for an IT Technician assistant to perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities in our Richards Bay Branch.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Diagnose computer problems
Monitor computer processing systems
Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications
Set up computer equipment, schedule maintenance and teach clients to use programs.
Repairs and computer parts ordering.
In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
IT technicians need strong knowledge of computers and how they operate, which includes having a broad understanding of hardware and software, operating systems and basic computer programming. Familiarity with electronic equipment, Internet applications and security may also be required. Technicians may also need good communication skills because this position requires frequent interaction with clients.
Education and Experience
• N Dip in Information Technology or relevant qualification
• computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
• Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
• knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
• knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
