I.T Trainer Spec
Change the World Trust is a non-profit passionate about long-term solutions and ripple-effect project results. Its primary focus is IT Training and educational projects benefiting youth and children. Launched in early 2009 as a hands-on IT Training project, it has grown and is seen as the early-mover and leading innovator in ICT Training ventures for youth in South Africa.
The trainer will work with the respective area’s high school students and the community’s unemployed youth in the rural areas of Mmabatho and Tsetse (NW).
Salary: R75 000 - R120 000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Training of beneficiaries in Microsoft End-user Computing (Full MS-Office Package)
• Training of beneficiaries in CompTIA A+
• Training of beneficiaries in Coding (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Ruby)
• Develop Training Material
• Student Recruitment and Marketing
• Liaise with stakeholders (Schools/Gov. Departments/Community Organisations/Youth Groups /Volunteers)
• Setup and manage training centre schedule
• Manage training centre logistics (procurement/communications/intern staff)
• Submit monthly centre and operational reports to immediate manager
Requirements:
• Own reliable car and valid driver’s licence
• Must have IT qualification (A+, N+, Cisco ITE, CCNA, MCSE or related)
• Must have coding/programming qualification/knowledge (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
• Must have previous firm ICT technical experience
• Must have great presentation and English communication skills
• Must have previous IT training experience
• Previous NGO/NPO experience advantageous
• Must be willing to travel
