What’s in it for you:

The Capital Markets Research Analyst serves as Ipreo’s in-house expert on the global buyside and sellside markets. As a Research Analyst you will gain in-depth exposure to investment and research strategies employed by global financial institutions including hedge funds, mutual funds, sovereign wealth, insurance and pensions. Research Analysts will have daily interaction with global investment professionals to gain a better understanding of their individual and/or collective investment approach, funds managed, portfolio characteristics, as well company fundamentals. As an Analyst, you will be the “eyes and ears” of the fixed income and equity market and rely on direct relationships with the buyside and sellside to stay abreast of market changes that affect Ipreo’s clients. As a Research Analyst you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Capital Markets, learn the various facets of the industry, as well as apply this knowledge to your daily responsibilities. This position is an excellent stepping stone to a career in many fields including: Portfolio Management, Stock Analysis, Market Research and Analytics, Management, and Account Management.

What you’ll work on:
• Interacting directly (by telephone) with investment professionals at global capital markets firms to gain a better understanding of their overall investment and/or research profile.
• Analyzing and interpreting market research, as well as tracking and accounting for market changes affecting buyside and sellside institutions.
• Identifying, researching and sharing intelligence on buyside and sellside institutions, respective investment strategies, and investment decision makers.
• Tracking and identifying portfolio manager leads for mutual funds, hedge funds, insurance reserves and pension assets.
• Entering and tracking objective investment information in a proprietary database according to in-house guidelines.
• Researching and responding to Ipreo client requests for information.
• Reviewing financial publications for relevant industry information.
• Meeting monthly targets, to include recording updates and changes to profiled buyside and sellside data.
• Working on special assignments and projects.

What we look for:
• Working hours: 1-9pm. Monday to Friday
• Excellent communication skills, especially over the telephone
• Excellent written and oral skills in English and Italian proficiency is preferred
• Strong analytical, interpretive and writing skills
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and persistent approach to work
• Superior internet research skills
• Bachelor’s degree required. (Degrees in Economics, Business, and Finance preferred but not required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software applications.
