The main purpose of the position is to specialise in customising and fully supporting detailed, sophisticated programs that ensure that our guests have the time of their lives in Southern Africa.


Key Performance Areas:

Ability to speak, read and write Italian
Have a passion for the hospitality and travel industry
Ability to work on word
Knowledge of Tourplan advantageous
Ability to professionally communicate via e-mail as well as telephonically
A solid geographic knowledge of travel product across Southern Africa
A creative edge and ability to verbally explain and in written language
A good comprehension of protocol involved with senior management of corporate customers
A team player – thus someone who can receive directive from colleagues when need to achieve a mutual goal
Understand the difference between a single, double and twin room, and the difference between suites, standard room, the difference between full board, half board and bed & breakfast
Engaging with a myriad of Southern African suppliers to ensure you secure the best product/service coupled with the best possible price
Take ownership ensuring all elements are taken care of in a professional and organised manner
Must be able to multitask between current & new quotes

In addition the employee should be able to:

Extend excellent customer service
Conduct themselves professionally and graciously over the phone
Fluently communicate in both written and spoken English
Fluently communicate in spoken Italian (written skill an advantage)
Be creative, imaginative and original when putting together Itineraries and programmes
A can do attitude with the ability to be proactive and enthused about their work
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure and according to strict deadlines
Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a heavy workload
Very strong project management skills with the ability to operate and handle a group or FIT of any size on your own and when away from the office
