Our client, a dymanic organisation based in Cape Town are looking for an experienced Japanese speaking Account Manager to join their exciting team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To coordinate all stages of translation projects, monitoring workflow, ensuring the highest level of performance in terms of efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
• To obtain accurate word counts and prepare estimates and quotes for clients
• To book freelance translators, selecting the most suitable translator for each project and negotiating the best rates
• To communicate clear and specific instructions to freelance translators and keep them accountable for quality and punctual delivery
• To deliver translations in accordance with agreed deadlines and in the appropriate format
• To prioritise tasks whilst handling multiple projects simultaneously
• To ensure database entries on freelance translators are up-to-date and accurate
• To prepare invoices for clients, ensuring that they are produced correctly and promptly and sent out within 3 working days of job delivery
• To process invoices from freelance translators in line with company procedure to ensure correct and prompt payment
• To ensure that the order book is updated accurately on a daily basis
• To adhere to our quoting policy and keep our record of quotes up to date
• To ensure that time and costs on each project are managed effectively and that costs are monitored closely to maintain profit margins

Requirements

• Fluent English and Japanese
• A proven track record in project coordination
• Excellent organiser, able to systematically plan workflow
• Skilled practical problem solver
• Experience of a translation project management software system
• Excellent customer care skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Skilled negotiator and effective team-worker
• Self-motivated and able to take the initiative
• Numerate and computer literate with experience of the Office suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)
• Hard worker, able to cope with demanding workloads, remain calm
under pressure and persevere with tasks
• High accuracy and quality standards and attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Pleasant and helpful nature, good telephone manner
