A company based in Cape Town is looking for a Mid to Senior Java Developer to complement their small team of developers. This person should be able to work independently and complete tasks accurately using their own initiative. This individual will be expected to develop code that is as bug free as possible.

Requirements:
• Computer Science degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years Java web application development experience
• Analytical & problem solving skills
• OO Analysis, Design Patterns and Programming Techniques
• Java
• SQL – MySQL preferred
• XML and XSD knowledge
• Web Services knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Ability to operate autonomously, and work with initiative
• Advantageous: Spring, Hibernate, ZK

Duties:
• Software design and development in accordance with specifications and agreed timescales
• Development of unit tests
• Documenting items developed and tested
