Salary & Benefits:
Between R250,000 and R410,000 cost to company
Permanent employment
Performance Bonuses are discretionary and will be paid based on merit, within the stipulated group policy which includes group, business unit and personal performance
Medical aid, retirement fund and the like will be for the applicants own account.
Business travel, work cell phone and other business related expenses will be claimed on a monthly basis.
A laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided to the candidate to complete their roles

A key role in the organisation in terms of delivering on clients requirements, providing input into new solutions and adding additional depth to the development team. The role will require the candidate to work well within a team as well as on their own unsupervised. There will be interaction with the UK based team on a number of key projects, both in terms of new development as well as alignment of development methodologies, tools, etc. The candidate will be required to support & assist the Development Manager on a number or projects, as well as run with projects themselves. The candidate will also need to be able to mentor junior candidates, providing them with guidance & skills transfer.
Responsibilities:
Involved in the design & specification of new & existing products in conjunction with customers & team
Development of code on new and existing solutions
Planning, development, implementation of various web & other applications & database structures
Implement, configure and test the technical architecture (Systems integration methodology & supporting tool-set).

Min 3 years experience in java development field
Involvement in dynamic team with innovative thinking applied to problem solving
Exposure to mobile development will be an advantage
Preferred 3 year degree or similar qualification – Computer Science Degree or equivalent
3-5 year experience programming in Java
Working knowledge of Linux
Preferred working knowledge of:
Jboss/Tomcat
Hibernate
Open Source Databases (MySQL, Postgres)
