Java Developer – Randburg – R420k – R520k
 
Our client is looking for a java developer who is passionate about software development and has 5 years experience Maintaining and developing applications.

Duties:

• Developing new systems
• Participating in Design and Architecture of new systems
• Maintain existing systems and applications
• Troubleshooting issues and problems
• Documentation of systems developed
• Unit Testing own code
• Interacting with users for the purposes of requirements gathering, testing and issue troubleshooting.

 
Qualifications and experience

• Information Technology Degree or Diploma
• 5 years solid software development
• Knowledge of the SDLC (specifically within a web and Java environment)
• Strong Java development experience
• Java SE  (1.5)
• HTML/PHP and JavaScript
• Oracle Database
• Object Orientated and SOA development experience
• Eclipse IDE
• Apache/Tomcat
• Web services experience (XML, XSL, standards)
• Windows Server Environment
• Visual Basic or C# advantageous
• Must be able to work independently and have the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communications skills both written and verbal.

 
Salary is negotiable on experience.
