Our Client, based in Plumstead, Cape Town is looking for a mid to senior Java Developer to complement their small team of developers. We are looking for someone who can work on their own, complete tasks accurately using their own initiative, and to develop code that is as bug free as possible.

Required skills:
• Computer Science degree or equivalent
• 2-5 years Java web application development experience
• Analytical & problem solving skills
• OO Analysis, Design Patterns and Programming Techniques
• Java
• SQL – MySQL preferred
• XML and XSD knowledge
• Web Services knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Ability to operate autonomously, and work with initiative
• Advantageous: Spring, Hibernate, ZK
• Most Advantageous: C# and SQL Server

Duties and responsibilities:
• Software design and development in accordance with specifications and agreed timescales
• Development of unit tests
• Documenting items developed and tested
