Online Banking Int/Snr Java Developer – Billing or Digital Sales Platform or Information and Access Governance or Online Banking & OB1

· This person must have 5 – 8 years solid Java experience
· This role will be based in Johannesburg west
· The assessment for candidates in this pool will be the IKM assessment (remotely)
· This role sits within Online Banking and the billing team is responsible for making sure that all commercial customers are billed correctly. A lot of the batch processing for billing is manual, this team is responsible for automating this process to mitigate/minimize errors.
· This team works off of a custom framework to (a Bank) so the ideal candidate would preferably have had exposure to custom frameworks, not mind working on custom frameworks or have a strong preference for working on custom frameworks. The following is the teams tech stack and exposure to the following technologies would be advantageous:
§ JAVA 1.8
§ Custom Framework which is similar to Spring and Struts (MVC Patterns)
§ Application server is JBoss EAP
§ Database is both Posgress and DB2
§ IDE is Eclipse or Intellij (The candidate can chose which they code in, their preference)
§ Source respository is GIT
§ Inhouse tool to migrate code to the JVM -Change it – This is similar to Maven and Ant
§ JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo etc
· Our Engineering Process – We are a fast paced development team that delivers projects on a monthly basis. As part of this team the successful candidates will work closely with QA, Ops and SA to build functionality on our platform. Our SDLC is mainly waterfall with elements of Agile for quick delivery.
