This position is based in Stellenbosch

As the company's Java Development Team Leader, you'll make a very real difference here, optimising your one-plus years' team leadership experience.

Accountable to the CEO, you will among other things • proactively manage your highly competent  team's efforts • maintain and expand the system architecture • design and implement software system components • integrate components from multiple suppliers • take the technical lead on everything from system production to the provision of advice to management .

You'll therefore need a B degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar, plus at least 4 years' proven Java programming experience up to Java 7 and at least 2 years' with Spring and SpringREST/Security.  Hibernate, SQL, PostgreSQL 9.3 and PostGIS extensions are also needed along with front-end web technologies know-how:  Java Script, Angular JS, html.  Your development tooling/infrastructure knowledge and agile experience (Scrum or Kanban) will be key to your leadership success.
