Position: Jewellery Project Manager
Salary: R35 000.00 – R42 000.00
Location: Gauteng

Job Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited too are as follows:

• Testing of Gold and other materials

• Profitability and Sales
- Calculation of monthly sales targets for the branches
- Reacting to out of line sales situations
- Expense reduction planning and execution
- Achieving of targeted sales, gross profit margins, expense budgets and net profit
- Daily communication with Franchise’s relating to current individual and branch performance
- Quarterly branch profitability reviews and re-forecasting
- Quarterly management performance appraisals

• Merchandise
- Compiling of merchandise age analysis reports
- Re-alignment of stock assortments and levels between the stores
- Liaison with franchise with regards to merchandise category allocations
- Addressing of overall merchandise levels within your allocated region (actual vs plan)
- Ensuring that the optimum trading densities are achieved within the stores
- Monthly reporting on competitor activities

• Marketing
- Formulation of quarterly marketing plans for the central region
- Regular meetings with centre marketing managers in order to obtain centre based marketing opportunities
- Implementation of national marketing plans and promotions
- Planning and implementation of branch based promotions and local events

• In-store Merchandising
- Regular store visits to ensure that company display principles and standards are being adhered to
- Organising of regular display workshops
- Monitoring of merchandise layouts and allocation of product space


• Administration
- Ensuring that monthly internal store audit checks are carried out as per company policy.
- Ensuring that procedures are in place to eliminate risk areas within the division

• Customer Service
- Monitoring of store service levels via mystery shopper results
- Training of selling technique principles as required
- Dealing with customer requests and complaints

• Stock loss Prevention
- Ensuring that daily category counts are taking place at store level
- Regular spot-checks of recorded counts during routine store visits
- Ensuring that the quarterly stock takes procedures are carried out as per the central regions plan

• Property and Projects
- Full co-ordination of new store openings and revamps

Minimum Requirements:
? Matric (ideally post Matric diploma in Jewellery)
? Ten (10) years' experience in the jewellery industry
? Able to travel
? Creative and innovative
? Strong administrative skills
? Own Car and Driver’s License
? Excellent Communication skills
