APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Completed Logistics Diploma / Degree
• Min 1 years previous work experience
• Knowledge of fruit export documentation will be highly advantageous
• Strong planning & organizing abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Meticulous and detail orientated
• Team player
• Valid drivers License & own reliable transport

KPA’S
• Updating sailing schedules and send out to customers
• Selecting vessels based on customers requirements, line commitments and rates
• Opening loading files with correct data as supplied by the exporter on a completed loading instruction
• Submit bookings to shipping lines
• Receive booking confirmations form shipping line & ensure all the details are correct
• Follow-up regarding depot release
• Arrange loadouts with the suppliers, cold stores & transporters
• Update the stacks and ensure loading within the specific timeframes
• Send export notifications to customer, shipping line, PPECB, cold store, transporter, supplier, PA Team & customs
• Update export file with all the correspondence and relevant documentation
• Follow up with transporter regarding container collections
• Follow up with transporter on daily loadings and complete the pre-advice with the necessary information received
• Ensure the correctness & validity of permits per commodity /port /weight
• Should an LC be involved, doublecheck the requirements before loading
• Assist customers with stock control where necessary
• Complete all additional tasks:
Such as inspections i.e. PPECB / DAFF / SGS / VERITAS
Tests i.e. Radiation/MRL’s/Formalin
Labeling requirements
• Check the fruit age / target market and if the PUC/Orchard is registered should it be a special market
• Deal with COD requests from customers until the container is loaded on board
• Logistex must be updated with the container and VGM details no later than 24hours after loading
• Load file must be presented for documentation no later than 24hours after the container enters stack
• Orderbook & notices to be updated and sent no later than 24hours after the container enters stack
• Capturing weighslips on a weekly basis as received from the coldstore, transporters and weighbridges
• Weekly planning with the customer prior to the load week
• Liaise with management on a Friday for the following week’s space requirements per customer, trade and shipping line
• Report to the branch manager with any issues relating to loadings, rates or any general queries
• Must be available on mobile phone 24/7 unless other arrangements are made f
