MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

To assist the Commission Manager in taking responsibility for end to end service delivery

To assist in meeting the client objectives through the delivery of an effective cost management service

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop good relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team

Work as an effective member of the cost management team

Assisting with tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents

Competent checking of measurements

Measurement and compilation of simple structures for preparation of BOQs

Assisting with the effective management of post contract cost variances and the change control processes

General assistance to the cost management team in respect of administration of projects

Contract administration on small projects

Preparation of estimates and on site measurements

Timely and accurate cost checking and valuation is completed in the preparation of monthly valuations

Measurement for variations / final accounts

Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client

Preparation of cash flows

Attending and reporting on project progress meetings and liaison with contractors

Negotiating and agreeing final accounts

Ensuring that QA/QC procedures are adhered to

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Quantity Surveying Degree

Minimum 3 years industry experience in quantity surveying positions

Experience in the oil and gas industry, process plants and in particular structural, piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation would be an advantage

Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills

This is a Secunda site-based role
