Our client, and international competitor is looking for a Financial Accountant, responsible for the analysis of the financial performance including preparation of the monthly financial performance reports. Required to oversee the daily financial accounting function.

Job Description
Auditing knowledge such as filing, ensure invoices have vat numbers, processing etc.
Assisting with month end processing
Responsible for maintaining the general ledger
Review all debtors/creditors monthly general ledger reconciliations prepared by bookkeeper for accuracy
Preparing review income, expenses, payroll entities, invoices and other accounting documents
Depreciation based on SARS regulations
Balance sheet and income statement monthly reporting variances responsibilities for control and reporting purposes
Reconcile sub-ledgers system with general ledger
Approving journals, vouchers and invoices
Implementation of any new financial or management reporting requirements
Preparation of annual financial statements for approval by external auditors
Assist with Intercompany transactions booking
Maintaining up to date chart of accounts
Assist with accurate recording of foreign currency transactions
Reviewing of bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations
Preparation of monthly cash flow and results reports
Ensuring processes comply with laws, regulations and standards
Complying with the company’s policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Degree within accounting
2- 3 years post qualification financial experience
Knowledge of VAT laws and income tax laws
Financial International Reporting Standards (IFRS) knowledge
Knowledge of auditing requirements
Computer literate
Must have a valid driver’s license
