Job title: Junior Analyst
Reports to: Operational Director


Job purpose
We require a Junior Analyst to setup and maintain all workflow processes on the company’s M.I.S system. Manage and deliver data and information to the business in line with business priorities, according to business policies and practices.

Key Performance Areas
• Understand the current environment
• Taking responsibility for the maintenance of the network
• Work closely with outsourced system providers to build work flow in M.I.S system
• Maintain M.I.S system to ensure on-going delivery of client information to business on time
• Accurate publishing of information
• Appropriate resolution of production issues to ensure that information is delivered according to user exceptions
• Continuously identifying and improving processes and procedures to minimize negative impact to procedures, data and business reporting.
• Integration of data into relevant workflow processes, with the specific aim of continuously improving what the company does and how it does it
• Monitoring of the environment to proactively engage in preventative activities and to maintain an environment that is easy to understand and troubleshoot
• Deliver data and information to the business in line with business priorities, according to quality standards, within the agreed time constraints
• Integration of new sources of data into company databases so that it can also be analysed and included in relevant reports
• Working closely with business partner in conceptualizing, defining and delivering new reports, as well as improving existing ones
• Analysis of data from various sources in order to ensure that the business acts proactively on the information at its disposal
• Continually searching for new and useful ways to obtain, integrate and analyse data that is relevant to the company’s business model
• Education of report end-users so as to ensure a maximum spread of expertise around the company


Qualifications
• Microsoft A+ - Computer Basics
• Microsoft N+ - Introduction to Networking
• Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (70-461)
• Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database (70-462)
Skills
• Writing SQL queries
• Experience in database design
• Above average Excel skills
• Strong maths, stats and logical skills
