Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, the successful incumbent is responsible for assisting in organising the operations of the F&B departments, whilst maintaining the quality and standards of the Hotel.

 

Required experience and qualifications:

3 - 5 Years’ experience in a similar position in F&B in a 5 star environment

A recognised 3 year qualification in Hospitality Management highly recommended

Three to four years relevant experience in a similar position within a 5 star hotel environment

Exposure to IR management and disciplinary processes preferable

Proficiency in Microsoft packages essential ( Word, Excel, email ) essential

Working knowledge of Materials Control and Micros essential

 

Key Responsibilities

Report directly to the Food & Beverage Manager

Complete all daily duties as set out in departmental duties and requirements

Ensure that the highest standards of service in the F&B departments are maintained and developed at all times

Responsible for the organizing, planning, directing and managing the cost effective operation of all F&B outlets

Effectively co-ordinate and organise the operations of all F&B outlets

To foresee and budget forecast of cover, revenue and payroll costs for all F&B outlets to ensure the most cost effective operations possible without sacrificing service and standards

Provide support and guidance to all F&B departments to ensure efficiency throughout the outlets

Achieve hygiene, health and safety standard requirements

Appraising performance; recognition and discipline

Co-ordinate training programmes and skills enhancement initiatives for F & B staff in guest service, safety, hygiene, etc

Address and resolve both guest and staff concerns

Ordering and quality evaluation of all foods and related supplies and maintaining of appropriate inventory levels

Guest interaction regarding special events, dietary requests and other requirements
