JUNIOR BOOKKEEPER
Currently have vacancy for Junior Bookkeeper to cover maternity contract starting November 2017 ending May 2018.
This position is based at our Head Office in Diep River.
75% of function is Creditors.

Creditors
• Match GRN’s and supplier invoices
• Capture supplier invoices on Pastel system
• Reconcile supplier statements to Pastel system
• Prepare monthly payment schedule
• Follow up on documents from stores and suppliers
• Prepare sundry creditors for daily payment

Bank Accounts
• Capture stores weekly results in Excel
• Reconcile stores weekly banking to Bank statements
• Process cash book payments in Pastel
• Process stores deposits in Pastel.
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Process monthly petty cash

Audits
• Audit Day End Reports
• Investigate any irregularities - using ERPLY
• Report all unresolved issues to FM
• List shortages/Surpluses on schedule and email to FM/HRM
• Financial Figures for FM

General
• Liaise with bank on store banking issues eg credit cards
• Prepare weekly sales schedules
• Prepare turnover schedules for Landlords
• Daily backup of Pastel system

Minimum Requirements:
• Sage Pastel, experience must be current and incumbent must have at least 2 to 3 years’ experience
• Recent cash book experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Extensive Knowledge of General Ledger Journals
• Post matric qualification in Bookkeeping
