MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Pharmacist or Nursing Qualification (with Intensive Care Diploma preferred)
• Current / recent experience a Brand Management position within the pharmaceutical sector essential
• Experience in pharmaceutical sales preferred
• Basic accounting knowledge essential (what drives profits, pricing, etc)
• Technical orientated with Advanced computer literacy in Excel essential (Pivots, V-Lookup, able to condense large sets of data to make it presentable)
• Understanding of hospital protocols, disease states including Anatomy and Physiology as well as pharmacology a must
• Generic Product knowledge
• Able to analyse numerical data and present in a logical manner
• Scientific approach (Must be able to source, analyze, present, discuss and apply scientific information on advisory board, medical aid, customer and sales force level.)
• Able to use data to design marketing campaign and communicate data to Sales / Management Teams
• Customer focused (Good understanding of patient care and able to manage irate customers and drive profitability)
• Able to travel and attend marketing meetings, congresses, etc. when required.
• Work under high levels of pressure (periodically long working hours)
• Fluent communication skills (verbal and written) with excellent presentation skills
• Assertive, Confident and Self-motivated professional
• Able to demonstrate where he/she has gone from not understanding something to developing a new skill
• Promoter: needs to have previous selling experience and understand how Marketing Strategies support Sales Strategies
• Valid SA Driver's Licence and Own Reliable Vehicle


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES will include (but not be limited to):

Under the supervision of the Group Product Manager:
• Forecasting of monthly stock
• Forecasting quarterly sales figures to regional head office
• Assist Group Product Manager and Marketing Director in preparation of annual budget.
• Assist Group Product Manager in developing and implementing marketing strategies for product portfolio.
• Organise and attend appropriate congresses and workshops (The successful candidate will have to be able to travel both during the week and over weekends due to the nature of the position. In addition he / she will have to attend evening functions related to the position.
• Spend approximately 6 days per quarter in-field with representatives or visiting customers
• Quarterly field trips to all regions supporting sales force and their regional managers
• Assist Scientific Support manager in product training of new representatives and customers
