A reputable consulting firm is currently looking for a Junior Civil Engineer to commence duties in their East London office as soon as possible. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering coupled with experience in project life cycle as well as the ability to be registered as a candidate engineer with ECSA. The following computer skills are required Allycad, Civil designer, MS Projects, MS Office with MS Word and Excel. Other requirements are a valid driver’s license, good communication skills, being able to comply with employer’s administrative requirements. The successful candidate will have the following key performance area; assist with feasibility studies. Perform stakeholder and professional team liaison. Perform design analysis on civil work using design software packages as design team leader. Execute site inspection, construction monitoring and construction administration under guidance of registered professional. Perform client liaison and liaison with other professional service providers. Reporting production progress to relevant project leader(s). Calculation of quantities and preparing cost estimates. Scheduling work items and compiles bills of quantities as well as assist with drawing production.
