Job Description:
Junior Debtors and Creditors Clerk

To start Immediately
Our client is looking to hire an amazing Junior Debtors and Creditors Clerk to START IMMEDIATELY.
Manages Operational effectiveness

· Reconcile debtor statements as required.

· Timely debtors filing.

· Process debtors for month end ensuring accurate data entry.

· Monitor and regularly review the level of payment arrears and action follow-up requirements and collections.

· Investigate statements – ensure accounts are up to date and request copies of claims where applicable.

· Assist with daily/weekly banking

· Assist with opening of new accounts and investigation of credit standing of new/potential customers – confirming payment terms of follow-up of collection of accounts

· Assist with reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger on a monthly basis.

· Improves Business Processes

· In discussion with Accounts Receivable supervisor, review, recommend and implement system improvements, in conjunction with the Finance Manager.

· In discussion with Accounts Receivable supervisor, review, recommend and implement processes and systems for identified control deficiencies in the management of the companies’ assets, in conjunction with the Finance Manager.

· Ensure all business activities conducted comply with legal and ethical standards.

Required Education and Experience

· Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

· 2 yrs experience in Debtors and Creditors

· General accounting knowledge

Ability to communicate & negotiate with customers

Preference if candidates have a Finanicial Certification

Experience in Pastel,

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel,)

Salary on Offer R 8000.00
