JUNIOR DEPARTMENT MANAGER

Multi Award Winning Nursery-Stodels is looking for a dynamic Junior Department Manager for the Shop and Lifestyle departments. You’ll be based at our Constantia branch and report directly to the Senior Department Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing profitability of the department
• Report analysis and report writing
• Management of staff in terms of HR, IR and staff development
• Ensuring that merchandising and displays are of a high standard
• Effective stock management in terms of optimizing branch layout opportunities
• Driving a high level of customer service


REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 years experience in Retail Management
• Computer literate
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Proven leadership abilities and management of staff
• Proven people, operations and merchandise control
• Translating strategies into operational action plans
• Must be self motivated and assertive
• A successful track record in sales, profit management, stock management including purchase management and staff management
• Must be organised, efficient, creative and assertive with strong communication skills on all levels
