Junior Developer

Jhb CBD, salary offered is negotiable on a junior level.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

A position exists at a well-established and expanding software development company; for a talented Junior Developer to work alongside a team of developers/ support personnel in a demanding, challenging environment.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

Relevant Tertiary IT qualification
Minimum 1-2 years development experience.
Excellent C# / C++ / VB6 knowledge
Good XML, JavaScript, HTML knowledge
Sound MS SQL experience.
Previous Support experience and financial industry experience will be beneficial.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development of in house software applications.
Utilize in house Tool suite to implement new functionality on the Front End Application
Analyze defects that are identified in production code and fix the problem
Perform unit testing on changes that the developer has made
Ad hoc investigation/ problem analysis at device level.
Facilitate resolution of issues with the product developers

ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position reports into an on-site team leader and off site operations manager.
This position is based at a client site in JHB CBD – will not consider Pretoria residents.
