Junior Developer - Bellville

Salary:   R10 000 – R25 000 ctc (excluding performance based bonus)

Location:  Bellville

Purpose of the Role:

The Junior Developer will be responsible and accountable for analysing business requirements, architecting solutions for these requirements, as well as testing, maintaining and enhancing current systems and applications.


  • Reports to the Manager: Software Development

  • Assigned to Senior Developer

Duties Include:

  •  Investigating and documenting business requirements

  • Creating functional specifications and test plans from business requirements

  • Creating technical specifications from user requirements or functional specification;

  • Writing technical documentation

  • Designing and writing new software programs and maintaining existing

  • Testing new programs and fault finding in existing;

  • Investigating new technologies


Minimum Qualification:

  • Tertiary education: diploma or degree: NDip IT, BTech IT, BSc IT from recognized SA Technikons or Universities only

Minimum Experience:

  • 0-3 years in programming;

  • Minimum of 12 months MS SQL Server experience

Essential knowledge of/experience in:

  • Solid understanding of: C#, .NET, MS SQL Server (80%), XML, SOAP, SSIS (20%)

  • Working knowledge of using relational databases, specifically MS SQL Server including a good understanding of Stored Procedures and WCF (Services)

Desirable knowledge of/experience in:

  • Basic understanding of networks

  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial systems

  • Telephony experience will be advantages
