Junior Digital/Graphic Designer

Freelance or Part time (2 days per week)

My client in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town is looking for an energetic creative, cool, fun, hard-working, driven person with excellent attention to detail.
This is a mid level role and opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing company.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY
- Create designs, concepts and sample layouts for approval.
- Develop graphics and layouts and suggest improvements – logos, online posts and adverts, print ads, flyers, brochures, invitations, social media artwork, electronic newsletters, promotions.
- Work with Marketing Manager to determine layout, design and approval.
- Involvement in brand look and feel, create brand manual. Adhere to brand principles at all times.
- Excellent knowledge of print and production to be able to work with printers, and submit print ready artwork without errors.
- Excellent knowledge of social media and digital platforms and mobile apps
- Excellent working knowledge of computer software InDesign & Illustrator, Photoshop. Video editing would be an advantage.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure, balance several deadlines and deliver jobs on time correctly
- Good command of English and spelling, attention to detail
- Ability to traffic own jobs within the given deadlines.
- Keep up with trends and changes in social media ie GIFS, Instagram, live videos etc, keep creating better content all the time to engage our guests and trade.
- Assist Marketing team with any work that may be outside of your role.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Experience preferably in a marketing/Digital agency
- Education: Degree or Diploma Graphic Design
- Excellent working knowledge of software and technologies like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Wordpress, and more -

PORTFOLIO REQUIRED
- Ability to use Office suite, email and Xcel
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Ability to think out of the box
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Friendly, fun can-do attitude
- A great work ethic
- Fast and diligent learner
- Motivated self-starter with a drive for results
- Excellent command of the English language
