Introduction

Our company is an Industrial Engineering company looking to employ a Junior Draughtsman in our Cape Town branch

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Basic knowledge of CAD drawing (No formal qualification or certificates required)
• Basic knowledge of CAD Programs such as Autocad, Revit & 3DS Max will be advantages but not compulsory (No formal qualification or certificates required)
• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel will be advantages
• Technical drawing is advantages
• Must be able to work under supervision and take instruction and guidance from a senior supervisor/Manager
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans
• ALL TRAINING ON CAD PROGRAMS REQUIRED & NECCESSARY WILL BE PROVIDED

Job Specification

Job responsibilities will include, but would not be limited to:
• Modelling and Draughting of various building layouts, exploded views, line drawings & details
• Technical drawings under supervision
• Maintain a high level of communication between the Engineering Supervisor and the Technical Manager
• When applicable aid the Process Engineers – technical drawings, detail & layout drawings & general draughting
• Attend meetings as noted in his / her job description
• Maintain drawing standards as set out in relevant training
• Maintain archive in the drawing filing system

The ideal candidate will meet the above criteria and possess the following characteristics and attributes:
• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of 3D design will be advantages
• Technical drawing as a subject will be advantages
• Basic knowledge of CAD Programs such as Autocad, Revit & 3DS Max will be advantages but not compulsory
• Must be able to work under supervision and take instruction and guidance from a senior supervisor/Manager
• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel will be advantages
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans is compulsory
